Montana 3650 RK- Water infiltration

We purchased a 3650 RK Montana in june 2004 but the unit is a 2005. We have the model with a step down in the kitchen. When we are on the road and its raining, water come in where the step is...the carpet is full of water. The dealer tried to repair it but it did not work...water is still coming in. Any suggestion? Anybody faced the same problem ?

Our first Monty was a 2004 3380. It had water coming in along the kitchen slide, when we drove in the rain.

The factory fixed ours, because we were there, having left Alaska far behind before we learned of the problem. It turns out there are seals that needed work under the slide. We could actually see daylight out the lower corners of the kitchen slide. But there are others here, who had such problems that had their dealers repair them.

If your dealer can't or won't fix it, contact the factory, and see if they can't urge the dealer to repair it.

Keep us informed!

I had an appointment on monday morning...the dealer work hard....he used 3 tubes of silicone ( black ) under the trailer to block cracks or small holes, plus half a can of insulating foam sealant to block bigger holes (I had two )on top at the end of the back tires ( one on each side ). I strongly hope that this will do the job. I am leaving tomorrow for a ten days vacation. We are going to the Association Islands Campgrounds in NY state ( near Watertown ). This is an islands on Lake Ontario. We were there at the same period last year. We like it and decided to go back this summer.Next tgime I will hit rain on the road, I will see if the repairs are working....

Claude,

I'm sure you've gotten the problem cured.

(D'Oh! Edited to correct for the error of thinking we were talking about heating duct leaks!)

I HOPE they've gotten it solved. Keep checking if you've been driving through rain.

Claude,

Given all the flooding that's gone on of late, you should count yourself lucky to have not found out aboout the repair status, yet!
