Window awning advice? - Montana Owners Club

We are considering installing window awnings on or 3670.

Montana Customer Service says it can't be done because there is nothing to fasten them to.

Has anyone installed window awnings? How are they fastened?

I would also be interested in anyone's experience with different brands. (CW have "free installation on A&E window awnings at present, but I'm not sure I trust CW to do this work properly, especially for "free").

As always, any advice is much appreciated.

Hope you get some answers to this question. We were planning to have that done next month. Our dealer didn't say it "couldn't" be done but he didn't say it "could" either.

As you can see my 02 has them and we like them very much. I hope you can find a way to install them on your unit.

I am getting a quote on A&E awnings for my 3400RL in April when the coach goes in for dewinterization. I met a fellow Big Sky owner this winter, and he has the A&E awnings on his all the windows around his Big Sky. I would check with your or the nearest Montana dealer to see if they can do the awning install.

We have them on our 2955RL and have had no problems.

John, Try to get ahold of Sharon (Gypsy). She had window awnings installed on her 3670. While at the rally last fall we were looking at hers and thinking of doing the same with our 3670.

We just got home from our dealers. We spoke to a couple of people in service and they said of course awnings can be put on. They can put awnings on any model Montana. So, since camping world is opening a new store there (hopefully with some sales) I am having the awnings put on. Right now we're doing the slide toppers. We seem to be camping a lot in the woods

. Guess it's the campgrounds we are choosing.
Bye the way --- the Air Force giveth and the Air Force taketh away. They nixed our trip to New Mexico at the last minute. Darn. Running the tests here in Syracuse.
