Insurance in Canada

Does anyone in Canada have any suggestions as to which companies will offer contents and liability insurance while living in the RV (albeit on a temporary basis)? We are moving across to Nova Scotia from BC and no-one we have tried (and there have been many) will provide contents insurance for this scenario. Once we get to Nova Scotia, we will live in the RV until we find a new home....so we will not have any existing home contents insurance coverage for that period. Thanks for any ideas.

The liability on our trailer is covered by our car insurance, while any damage to the trailer itself is covered by our house insurance. In our case, both our vehicles and home are insured by the same company (Heartland).

I don’t fuss about the contents because I don’t think the stuff in our trailer is worth much. We’re just talking about linens, dishes, clothes, etc.

Thank you; we have to take jewelry and other valuables with us at least on the trip, but I hear what you are saying - most of our permanent trailer contents are not valued at much. Thanks for your response.

Talk to your insurance company about this unusual situation.
