Battery isolation switch

I found that if you keep you RV plugged into shore power for a long period of time, the batteries will keep on charge and weekly maintenance is required to keep the water level up. (many folks don't realize this until too late and the batteries are shot when you need them)
I placed a marine type battery selector switch which allows me to select each battery by its self, or both, or OFF. Now I can turn them off and there is no charge going to them, this is also great for a complete shut down ,like for winter so there is no discharge to the in house loads. With this system I can charge and use ether battery or both.

We have the 5er plugged in all year long. Battery maintenance is now done 3 times a year as it seems not to boil. We rarely add water. We have the 3 stage converter / charger, a Magnatek 7500. It maintains a steady 13.8 volts on the battery all the time.
