Upgrades
We had MOR/rhde axles installed in September 2003. Gave us a completely smoother riding 5er. Our 2000 3555RL now tows better also. That could be because we had a Trailer Saver hitch installed so that now we don't get the "pounding" that you normally feel when tooling down the highway.
In addition, we had solar panels installed with a 2000 watt Pro-Sine inverter and two Lifeline 12V batteries. These batteries weigh 150 lbs each and add additional weight but provide me with 510 amp hours of power. We have dry camped often and even camping for up to eight days we had plenty of power.
We have two full-size computers and a laptop along with the normal appliances and yet we haven't run out of power.
This kind of upgrade is pricey but we full-time and intend to keep this rig for some time, so we felt that the convenience was worth it.
