2003 interior lockset for bathroom

Our 2003 has Decorite brand locksets on the bathroom and closet doors. When one wore out, I purchased 2 new units and they both broke within one week. Has anyone had this problem and is there a better quality lockset available that will fit these thin doors? Thanks.
PS...A standard home lockset will not fit because the RV door only 1 3/8" thick.

Happened several times to us as well, CountryGuy went to Mernards and purchased the best handle/lock sets he could, off the rack. Have not broken since, but, I still won't close the door while I am on the inside of that little girl's room.

And, NO, I was not inside when the handles broke, and I don't ever want to be!

When some of the cheap crap that RV manufacturer breaks repeatedly, then I'd opt for more durable (but heavier) hardware. If you have lots of margin leftover in the Gross trailer weight, then why not.

I'd pick a better lock set and others have just mentioned you should be just fine. Just carry one less 6 pack while in transit to keep the weight down.

Try a mobil home place, mobil homes have thin doors.

I replaced ours with standard sets I purchased at Wal-Mart. Never even thought to ask if they would work in RVs. They di and are fine for over eight years.

Residential interior doors are 1 3/8", most any residential lockset, latch, or privicy set will work. A good many locksets and latchsets work for both 1 3/8 and 1 3/4" doors.

1 3/8" doors have a 2 3/8" backset (edge of door to center) 1 3/4" doors have a 2 3/4 backset.

Cheap door hardware is exactly that, it will not hold up.

I replaced our sets in the new rig with standard residential locksets from Lowes. Not sure why they won't work, since the doors should be the same thickness on all our rigs?? The locksets should allow for different thickness doors with a switch inside the lock mechanism when it is assembled. That is the way ours worked.
