Slide Lubrication

I just recieved the dry spray lube yesterday and I sprayed it on the gear tracks under the slides,is there any other spots on the slides that it should be sprayed?

Thanks,
Steve

Shoot some onto the gears where the racks go into the belly. I've always just shot it in there fairly heavy but never bothered to run the slides in and out to lubricate all the gears. Maybe I should but I haven't.

As you are lubing everything take care not to get any of the spray lube on the underside of the slide out floor. It can make some nasty stains on the carpet You can probably figure out how I know that.

Jack

Another dry spray that you might try, is Molycote. I believe it's a graphite based spray. This is what I use and I think it works very well, though it's kinda expensive, but I guess that's why it so good.

I watched the Keystone Service guys do this to our 3400 and they just sprayed everything under there and put it on quite liberally.

I use it on the rear leveling jack screw too. Quiets it down and maybe the motor will last longer...

If it moves, spray it.

What specific sprays are being used? (Brand, type, etc.) Do the dry sprays also prevent rust/corosion? I looked on the Molycote web site and it's very confusing. I'm willing to pay more for a really good product.

If what I am spraying is all metal, I use a dry lub. If part metal and part rubber, I use silicone. What I do not use on anything is WD 40...unless I'm trying to loosen a frozen nut that has rusted tight.

watch out that spray does not get on the plastic fabric used as a waterproof as black stains on the carpet are a real bear to clean ,,,,, as i know oh too well!
