Frozen steps?
We have been sitting close to Gulf for 5 months. Like the dummy I am I did not think to do anything to prevent the steps from corroding. Now I cannot get them to move. I have tried WD-40, Liquid Wrench, and CRC rust removal without much success. Would heat help? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

My Monty sat close to the gulf since we bought it over a year ago and the steps haven't corroded. You sure corrosion has it locked up?

Bob says, "replace the steps". Not much help, but there you are.

Penetrating oil soak and then tap it with a hammer at the pivot points to just enough to set up a vibration while applying hand pressure on them to move them at the same time.

P T Blaster is the fix. Spray on rusted pivot points let stand overnight, spray again and tap w/hammer. I got mine at wally world but most auto stores have it. Good Luck Jack

Ragdoll,
Thanks for the tip. PB Blaster has done wonders to the step problem. It took several applications but they finally move! I bought two cans.

Don't forget to put the steps up once in a while. I put alarm switch on my steps, so they have to be closed to arm the alarm. And yes I have forgot to turn off the alarm before putting down the steps.
Glad it worked out.
