My wife uses a little bit of Murphy Oil Soap and water and then I follow her with Pledge. Seems to be working for us so far.

We use Pledge on the wood and Panel Magic on the paneling. I use Mrs. Murphy's on anyplace that is really dirty (kitchen).
Happy trails.................

I have heard instances where the scented (lemon and orange come to mind) polishes and waxes attract critters. True? Any personal experiences with this happening? I want to clean and polish the woodwork but don't want to create a problem.

Jay & Betty, There is evidence that the citrus scented cleaners DO attract critters, especially the roof. Not sure about inside... We have used lemon scented Pledge before, but that's about it.

Old English here also. It does a great job removing the smudges from the wood fill used on the nail holes.

We have always used Formbys Lemon scent oil. It cleans and adds oil to the wood , Sharon has used it for 51 years now on all our cabinets in every hous and has good luck with out a build up from some of the other products. sailer

I have used the diluted Murphys soap to clean the wood and then used an Orage Glo shine spray. I am not sure the oil soaks into the wood on our 2006 model. Makes them look better, but not sure it feeds the wood. I love using the Pledge swifters when I am not doing heavy cleaning. I also use the Murphy's soap on the white board walls as well as my vinyl floors.
