Samsung receiver...won't come out

Trying to get surround to work with the tv. Guessing I need component cables from the tv to the receiver.. Any idea how to get the unit out...pretty tight on the bottom shelf ...about 2" on my unit.

The surround sound for our "system" only works when playing a DVD...have often thought how nice it would be for it to work with the TV (then I might hear every tenth word), or with CDs....

I was able to take the audio feed from the TV and input it to the Samsung unit. There is an input for TV or Aux (I can't remember which) on the sound system and it can be selected as an input, like DVD or FM. There is also a setting on the TV for the audio output to be fixed or variable and you want the fixed setting. Be sure to turn down the volume at the TV

There are numerous inputs on the Receiver/Amp, I have both the TV and my DirecTV Receiver connected. TV connected to Aux and the DirecTV Receiver connected via Digital Optical cable. As for getting it out, mine is only held in place by a double sided Velcro strap.

I removed the velcro but receiver won't come out. Is it possible they installed from the back side then screwed in?

I am thinking on our old rig that the receiver was velcroed in and sat in four small cup-like feet. Perhaps if you try lifting it straight up, you may have the same setup. Curious as to what you finally will figure out, let us all know!!

Bingo, looked really close at the bottom stile and there is a 1/2 " trim...don't know how I missed it ...maybe lighting. Anyway pried it gently with a putty knife and voilla...out it came. Now we got surround on tv and ps3 blue ray movies. Yeah.
