Ceiling Trim Strips sagging

We have 8 ceiling strips that appear to have no function other than to hide the seam between ceiling panels.

Some of them are starting to sag, mostly in the kitchen area. They are held up by tiny staples, probably from some type of staple gun. Not something in my FT tool kit.

I've pushed them up, but they eventually work back out again. I tried some small wire nails, but that area is now kinda ugly, and they didn't hold either. Maybe glue.. but what kind?

Any suggestions?

You can use liquid nails caulking but you may never get them down if you should need to, so just use a dab here and there.

Gorilla glue has helped me out on those sagging strips.

I took the strips down and ran small screws and washers in between the panels and than re-installed the strips.
