Looking for camping in northern CA

Hello RV friends,
Quick question; We live in Folsom, CA and want to take our Monty somewhere camping that is kinda of close to home [75-150 miles one way]. We love rustic tree settings and hook-ups are not important. We simply want to get away for 3-5 days, but we are not that familiar with the best locations for RV's. We are not looking for paved lot RV parks. We have had our Montana home for 6 months and have been out a few times. Tried SeaCliff-excellent; Lawson's Landing-another great experience; South Lake Tahoe-beautiful tall pines and all the trimmings we loved it; Lake Shasta-reminded us of our tent camping days-we thought the setting was excellent. So you get the picture. Our problem is now that fall is upon us-some pretty cool parks are closed because of the elevations.
Thanks for your comments.

Try Far Horizon 49er Village in Plymouth, CA. WWW.49ervillage.com Very nice park, paved. Many things to do in the area. Been there many times. It would be about an hour away from you.

Try Boca Reservoir or Stampede Reservoir just out of Truckee towards Reno, Both are nice, we prefer Stampede.

You could try Doran which is in Bodego Bay It's a little farther but nice. We been to Boca and Stampede but when we were there we didn't have our Montana. we've been by the 49er but thought it was to expensive, I've heard that there is a new RV park by the Jackson Casino that is now open haven't checked it out. We live in Fair Oaks so are close to you.

Eagle Lake near Suzanville CA. Get place large sites, lots of trees, lots with full hook-ups.
Lake does go dry late in year but area still nice.
