Has anyone camped in Newberry Springs CA off I-40

Anyone used either of the two parks in Newberry Springs CA off I-40 between Barstow and Needles???

Twin Lakes RV
or
Newberry Mountain RV Park & Motel

Thanks for any input,
Laura

Rocky2,

We stayed at Twin Lakes. It is an interesting little park out in the middle of nowhere. The last half mile or so is just dirt. It wasn't too bad but did have the washboard effect. The park is just a basic park. Everything is dirt. But the electrical and water was fine. It is also about 6 or 7 miles north of I-40. If we really needed a place to stay we'd use it again but only if in real need. It is a Passport America park so the price was right.

Don't know about the other park but it may be one of those right on the freeway. If so it is not too different from the Twin Lakes park.
