Level up question.
When I unhook the TV and level up, all is well. When I go to hook up the TV again and push the left and right buttons the Monty goes up about 4 or 5 inches higher than it should. I can't seem to get it back down to where it needs to be. If I go to Manual mode and start pushing buttons, it wants to go higher. Ideas?

I have not used the memory function in 3 years of fulltiming, when I go to hook back up I do it in manual mode if I raise the front too high you just hit the retract button and the light comes on then lower the front to where you want it

I believe that the four rear jacks have to be fully retracted before you can adjust the elevation on the front jacks. All that we do is turn it on, hit retract, pull up the rear and adjust the front up or down as needed. We have never had a reason to hit any of the mode buttons when its time to hook up.

When in manual mode you must hit the retract button in order to lift the back 4 jacks, left and right side work independently in manual mode.
After setting up with auto level and I wish to hook up that is how I do it, you can operate all jacks in that mode, I just retract the left and right and leave the front alone and then use the remote to adjust the front for hookup.

As per the instructions in Auto mode. When you unhook and raise the pin out of the hitch the system remembers were that height is. You then level and the level point may be lower than the remembered point. when you are ready to hook you hit the left and right buttons and the system returns to that and it may be higher than when you first unhooked. Find the instruction manual or go to Lippert to download the instructions.

Why that happens is a good question!! Mine usually comes back about 1" too high. I use the remote while backing into the pin to make any final adjustment. Perhaps a call to Lippert Level-up support might get a knowledgeable answer. I know that if the system had to raise the pin, from the unhook point, it won't return it. You get that funky "feature disabled" message. I would hope there is some way to calibrate the "return to unhook position" function (just as you can alter what is the "Level" position.

The default mode is to "Extend" the jacks when one of the arrow buttons is pushed. Press the "Retract" button (on the left, second from the bottom) to lower the RV when pressing an arrow button.

My "memory" has never really worked correctly in my opinion. I quit using it and always go to manual mode. To me it is just as fast.

I guess I am lucky because the memory has always worked right on our unit.

Same here the auto mode works just fine. It will remember the pin height when you unhook. If it is to high then you probably left it to high. We always leave it a couple inches above the hitch because of the bed saver then when lined up lower it in.

The hitch up position the Level Up system should return to (stored in computer) is of the position the Level Up was in when the Auto Level button was previously pressed.

Do you make sure that your digital print out reads +1 before you press auto level? If not, it will not function properly after that point.
The rear jacks do not need to be retracted before hitching.
If all is normal and the steps printed on the side of the trailer are followed to the letter it should function properly. If not, you should contact Lippert.

Mine does the same thing, always high when auto returning to the unhook height. Maybe airbag pressure? I always deflate my bags once i unhook and inflate after hitch up.

We have to raise ours a bit high to get it up and over the bedsaver but it returns to that spot everytime.
