whadda ya call it????
OK, I am looking for some help.....what do you call those little metal thingys on the floor that you use to secure your chairs, etc???? We have made some furniture changes and need a couple of them and I can't find them....I've been searching the net hardware sites and rv sites with no luck. So if someone out there can help it would be most appreciated.
Thanks a million......
Betty

Speaking of tie-downs, what kind of strap do you use? My Monty was used and didn't have any straps. I have the tie down cleats but don't know what kind of straps to get.
Thanks.

Ours appear to be nylon or Dacron ....... We removed couch and recliners so we have the tie downs just need more footman loops for our new arrangement.
Think you might find the straps at the same place it's called Strapman.
Hope that helps

There are a LOT of straps on that site. After looking at them all, I am guessing I need the flat hook straps, but am not sure. There are lots of styles and I don't know how they hook to the tie-downs.
Also, there are 2 sizes - 1 inch and 2 inch. Which come standard?
Thanks.

Betty,
We moved our chairs and couch also. The chairs are now in the slide out. I just turn the back to back and run the strap around the backs and have not had any problems with the chair moving.

George:
Thank you for the advise on the chairs, we did do just that when we had to bring the monty in for it's annual checkup and installation of the washer/dryer and it worked great. But we have swapped the sofa for another chair which needs to be secured as well and my DH is being his own clever self (yes again!) and needs one for another purpose. Seems I did a little shopping at CW in NH and found these great THule Universal hooks on clearance but didn't realize they didn't come complete with the anchors to hang them.....and CW doesn't carry them, when I went on line I could find the anchors for between $19.98 to $39.98 plus another $12.95 for shipping.....so the DH checked our loops and they would hold the hooks so we are trying to find some. He plans to use the hooks to hold our hoses off the ground when connected.
Didn't mean to get so complicated....But That's my story and I guess I'll have to stick to it.
thanks,
Betty

Betty,
We do the same thing as Jay Bird and the chairs don't move around at all.

I went to ACE Hardware, they thought I had rocks in my head when I asked for footman loops, showed them a picture, they had no clue where to get them, so back to my original link I guess.

They are called D rings , and are usually available at any trailer supply, and are around 3 bucks each for the small ones. Good Luck. Scott
