Rear Stabilizer Motor Bad
The rear stabilizer jack motor quit today and I really don't want to spend $375 (lowest price I've found for one on eBay).
Any of you have any ideas?
Thanks,

Michael,
I know we have several places around here that rebuild motors, maybe you do too.

Hmmmmmm...sounds like it's time for a Level-Up system!

Good idea on rebuilding. Thanks to your suggestion, I found a place that might rebuild ours.
We do have the Level-Up but also like to use our rear stab jacks.

you don't have a corroded power or ground wire to the motor?

Might try Grangers or an RV surplus place.

There's a chance the brushes have gone bad, especially if the motor is in a place where it gets a lot of dirt. You can take the motor apart and check them. There's a chance a local electical supply house may have replacements or at least something close enough to be modified. I've done it with a furnace blower motor.

Well, quick service here from a local repair shop. Ninety-nine dollars later we're back in business: the brushes had rusted and fallen apart due to rain water getting inside where the wires enter the motor housing (hint: check!)
Also, for those who might find themselves in this situation and need to retract the jacks, the Lippert instructions state to remove one wire from the motor to keep it from binding. The only place to remove the wire is on the back of the manual switch at the rear, passenger side of the trailer. One must remove the switch to get at the spade terminals. Just and FYI.
