Go to Lowes or Home Depot get a 3.00 circuit tester, may help isolate the problem. It may be the plug also. Hope you find the problem,

Ditto on the circuit tester. I use it at hook up every time.

I have a circuit tester, but it only works on 15A or 20A receptacles. Is there an adapter to use it on a 30A or 50A? Or do you assume that if the 20A plug is OK, the other(s) are too?

Yes, there is a 30 amp adapter. 15/20 amp on the female side and 30 amp male plug coming out.

After I bought my Montana I checked all the 120 volt circuits in the trailer. Now, when I go to a camp I check the outside site 30 amp circuit with the tester using an adapter. If a site only has 50 amp I use a dog bone 50 to 30 amp and again check the 30 amp leg with the tester and adapter. I also have a camping world sold voltage tester that I use inside to the Monty to check a plug for the output of the power circuit before turning on any thing. Have found a few sites where power was real low.

racer I think you will find that many state parks have serious problems with electricity. I have found that many have problems with constant current flow especially when the part is full. The meter is a great idea, but I had to use an adaptor and drop to the 30 amp side of the box and just cut back on the number of circuits running at the same time.
