Washington State Ferries

Has anyone used the Washington State Ferry System for travel around Puget Sound?? I am planning to take the Port Townsend ferry next summer to get from Bellingham area to Port Angeles--that way I can bypass Seattle. I checked their website but could not find the current fare. Any experience??
