Reroute LP Lines

Good Morning,
I need to reroute two propane lines. We will be installing our battery/inverter cabinet in the area shown in the attached pictures. The cabinet has 3" of space under it. I am thinking about cutting the lines, flaring them, and gently shaping the copper lines to fit under the cabinet. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, wondering why they had they copper lines so long.
Thanks.
Tod
