Steve It says it is acquiring the satellites but it never does. I will have to get the gps in the house here and try playing with it. I went to the delorme forum and got some ideas there to try. It's getting late now so will try that tomorrow.

For your info. Got my other computer working with the S/A. Not sure what was wrong but it now works. Anyone who has S/A might want to go to yahoo groups and sign up for the street atlas group. Lot of useful info there. Steve you would be a good one for that. Since you use yours a lot. You could give a lot of advice.

If anyone here will be in Virgina for the May rally or Pla Mor in September or even Reno, I'd love to get a group together to work on this type of software for an hour or two. I'm using Street Atlas and would love the input from others.

The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise we will be at play mor in Sept. We can sit around and discuss this. Also if you go to the yahoo groups there is a street atlas group there. Very informative.

Ron, thanks for the info on SA on yahoo groups. Just what I need, more time on the computer! But this one might be worthwhile. I'll check it out. Ron, I could probably learn more there than the reverse.
Kim, we won't be at Pla-Mor, much as we'd like to. If you folks learn any good tips, please pass them on.

Been testing the Garman GPS-18 with nRoute and City Select, N. america V-6. Picked Garman because I like their technology. Both of the others are very good programs also. Have it on the Desktop here in the house so we can't go anywhere but so far it is doing a great job..Can Aquire 7 Sat any time. There are 9 in my line of sight right now and I am locked on to 2,4,5,6,10,13 and 30..However none of them are WAAS sat's nor are any in view. My accuracy is 17.6 feet. I was looking for better but that's not bad without WAAS.

Glad to hear you got one that's meeting your needs. There's not much worse than buying technology that disappoints. Garmin is made in Olathe, KS, near where our kids live. They've been around a long time and have an excellent reputation.
