Slides "stall" in cold weather

My slides on my mountaineer will pull in to a point and then just stop if the temp outside is very cold. After just a few seconds it is operational again and comes in a little ways more, only to stall again. This repeats 2-3 times while retracting the slides in the cold. It never has done this in the spring/summer months. What causes this, and is it a common problem, or anything to worry about???

Not really sure if its a big problem in cold weather. But a fully charged battery is needed-I would think more so in cold weather.

Dale, both of your posts in this thread refer to "cake." You must have run out of Red Velvet cake???

Yes! Yes indeed! I confess. Every night I dream of Red Velvet cake. I'm obcessed and can't get it out of my mind. I live for the day to savor it again! Something tells me that day will come.

You will have to come back west so Joy can bake it for you...she is the expert.

Myrna, Joy forgot to let me sample the cakes in Nevada. So she owes me, too.

I have the same problem. I took some silicone spray and applied it to the rubber seals. This helped some but it will still stall once, rather than twice like it did before. It appears to be the living area upon opening and both upon closing but at least now it only stalls once. If I fire up the heater prior to opening the slides there isn't a problem. But if I'm just going in to get something its not worth the wait for the propane to heat up the slides.

Can't wait to get rid of winter.

At your convenience, give me a call. 866-524-7821 at my desk or 574-320-4974 on my cell. It is a Lippert cell phone that is with me all waking moments of every day.
