Shower Leak - 3400

Well I have seen a lot of folks stating that this is almost a norm. We have now been owners for two weeks, and have what I assume is the same leak. For those who have gone through this whether fix yourself or dealer. Where does the water come from. I have not yet had time to check it out and looking for a heads up.

Our leak came from a leaking connection on the bathtub faucet. Finally had to simply change it out. That fixed it. Some folks are experiencing leaking from the "P" trap. I think one unit actually had a hole in the trap. Still others had water leaking from the shower tub around the edges. There are several very good threads on this subject. If you haven't done a search you might try that. Others will be by soon to share. Welcome to the world of the MOC.

HamRad is right, a thousand sources, a thousand leaks. We found that a second bead of calk EVERYWHERE in the shower stall (with the exception of the weep joint between the bottom of the sidewalls and the top of the floorpan) cured our one very small leak.

Our shower leak seemed to be coming from the tub faucet fittings. Hubby removed the cover to the tub access and tightened those fittings and so far, no more water dripping from the bottom of the Montana.

Hey thanks for everyone for the information. It was indeed a loose fitting going into the Tap. Seems like they could do a better job of Assembly?

Thanks again
