Met my first MOC member

I met my very first member of the MOC today -- Ken Whitham (kwhitham) here at Catalina Spa RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs, CA.

Congratulations Orv

I think he might be the second MOC member you have met though .

You're right Lonnie. What I meant to imply was that I finally met someone who appeared at the park where we are. The "other one" I met was deliberate action on my part to make the acquaintance.

Orv! For as long as you've been on the road - it really IS a BIG world out there if you've only crossed paths with 2!

I met a fellow Montana owner one summer at a park but he wasn’t a MOC member. He said he didn’t really have the time while working and maybe he would look into it after he retired. A year later I seen a Montana in the same park and tried to talk to him; turned out to be the same person again. Makes me think the world really isn't so big after all!

There were 32 MOC members who stumbled upon each other out here in the desert in Quartzsite. Some of us are still stumbling.

Yep, it is a small world.

We have attemped to figure out how many MOC familes we have met. Three fall rallies, two regional rallies a Quartzsite visit and just bumping into MOC'ers around the country and while wintering. We figure close to 300.

That's the way with me; it seems that most owners I meet haven't heard of the forum either! When we bought our unit the first thing I did was to get online and Google for a Montana forum and that brought me directly to the MOC forums in no time at all!

Evidently some people have a life without a computer!

Mary and I met a fellow Montana "driver" a few years back, 2006 that turned us on to the forum. We were camping at Klamouth Falls, Oregon; near Crater Lake and this great couple invited us to join the forum and them for lunch. What a great place, nice folks and a ton of information. Jon
