New Dish ordered

For my Direct TV HD service, I ordered the Winegard Slimline SK3005
Prices vary, I found with a cheaper model the shipping was $150, with a slightly more expensive model the shipping was only $100.
Any way you slice it, prepare to drop around $1520
I will install it myself.
My local RV parts houses were 'Doing me a favor' and knocking off $200 from their $1900 list. (Plus taxes)
I will have a slightly used Winegard Dome for sale shortly, for those who are not interested in HD, I have the Tuner box to go with it.
I bought it from Makarios RV they were cheaper than Amazon listed dealers.
Here is a video on the new dish.

Plan twice, cut once, install upside-down.

You are right in the price range Ozz. Solid Signal has them for $1499.00 with free shipping. They also offer the roof mounting plate for $99.

Ha! Don't think I haven't done that... You think of the screw-up, I have done it.
I think I will cut a pc. of Stainless and mount it up there, got to be better than the powder-coat steel.
I remember working on an A/C in an attic at a country club. I was training a guy, there were two systems up there, I wanted to install a service port in one of them, (the one with no freon in it), yep, I drilled a hole in the charged system lines. I had to wait an hour for my apprentice to stop laughing. He still reminds me of it when I see him.

Ozz, did you order the Heavy Duty Mounting Plate, if not you need to order the Roller Plate otherwise the dish roller will be directly on your Roof, not a good thing. I had the Heavy Duty Mounting Plate installed with mine, gives a very solid mounting surface for the dish.

We had the trav'ller installed last Sept. and this system works well. We had a problem with the turret and Winegard replaced the whole unit. As for the wheel rolling roof when washed the roof I saw no sign of marks from the wheel on the roof and was told when I asked the tech he told me they have had not had any problems with it. Enjoy it when you get it installed.
