Rally Expectations
Good Morning,
We've been invited to our 1st rally and we were wondering if it was a good time. We camp just about every other weekend and love it. We thought that a rally would be a great way to meet some wonderful folks. Please give us some input on what a rally is like
Thank you to all

Go down to the topics regarding the various MOC rallys. You can have your choice of which to attend, one or all. A rally is where you meet some great people that share ideas regarding their coach and TV.
I noticed that you are from PA. There is a fall rally in Goshen, IN., and regional rallys at the end of May in Gettysburg, PA and onother in Virginia in Sept.08

We have only attended the Nat'l Rally in Goshen, Ind. But the rally's are a great way to learn about the Montana's and also a wonderful way to meet new friends that have the same interests. We really enjoyed last years rally in Goshen and are looking forward to this years. Lots of good food and fellowship and also new information from the Montana factory. Sometimes even a "sneak peek" into what's coming up. We were sworn to secrecy about the new couch. Plan to join us, won't you?

We are seriously considering going to the Rally in Gettysburg. As to this only an hour and a half for us, but if it were in Virginia we would've went there too. Looking forward to meeting new folks and learning a lot.
Thank you

John had a good time because of the early Saturday entertainment put on by his neighbor
The rally in Gettysburg should be fun. We're thinking about it. Right now we are getting ready for 2 weeks at Thousand Trails in Hershey and then down to a small campground near Cowan's Gap.

Welcome aboard CamprNick!
Some rallies have lots of organized activities. Some have just a few. Both are good. You can pick and choose which activities you want to attend. Most have a couple of potluck meals and usually a Meet and Greet. That's a get together on the first day, a time to meet and get to talk with other MOC members. Kind of an ice breaker. There often is a Show and Tell where members open their rigs to show others the changes and improvements they've made. Lots of great ideas come from those.
The annual fall national rally in Goshen, IN, is near the factory. There will be folks from Keystone at one or more of the get togethers and sometimes just wandering around the rally. Plus, they provide a special tour of the factory for us.
The part I like best about a rally is the free time. Partially that's to be able to sightsee the area but mostly it's an opportunity to wander around the rally area and chat and get to know other members. You'll see a lot of that going on. Shoot, just put a chair out under your awning and someone will stop by to say hello.
We have made a lot of good friends on this forum, both from rallies and from just meeting on the road. I think you'd find it enjoyable. I will say that posting a reply to someone you've met is more like emailing with a friend than it is posting a reply to a stranger. Whole different feeling. Nice feeling.

We, too, were at Pine Hill for the Northeast Rally this year and it was great!! Picked up a lot of good ideas that I am incorporating into my rig. Good food and fun and lots of time to enjoy the local area. Looking forward to Gettysburg next June and Williamsburg in Sept. Hope to see you there!!!
