Racer, did you turn the hot water tank bypass and forget to turn it back to normal operation?

Racer, On the outbound line there should be a check valve screwed into the hot water tank. I had a problem with mine and found the check valve was jammed.

I opened my pressure valve on the outside of the hot water heater when I turned the fill valve back on after winter. You might try this. I left mine open until water started coming back out of the valve.
