SOB

I know there is some silly unwritten rule about not mentioning other brands on here but I have a serious question.

Anyone ever owned a New Horizon and what are your thoughts on them (other than they are more expensive)?

Yes there is such a rule primarily because this is the Montana Owners group. I know New Horizons has a owners group and I will bet you can get better answers there.

Just google problems with them. My favorite is the one from an employee who says the owner has anger issues that have resulted in the police being called to conflicts between them and customers and employees.

I get this is a Montana forum but what does it actually hurt to ask?? Besides I would like to hear from a former NH owner

If you don’t want to talk about SOB why not just ignore the post

Lot of folks on here have owned something else I am sure. In fact that is who I want to hear from. Someone who has owned both and can make a true comparison

I couldn’t find an owners forum for NH though??

Well I apparently committed two terrible sins. First asking about SOB then posting to what forum police consider the wrong section in the forum. Makes me feel rather unwelcome here. Actually pushing me toward switching to SOB

Come on guys this brand loyalty is just silly. It isn’t like Thor is going to reward you for it.

There is absolutely no good reason not to talk about SOBs here. We should be willing to help each other get to the best fit regardless of brand

Pulled one a couple hundred miles for a friend, Their Heavy and expensive, To pay $40000 extra for basically a little extra trim, paint job and extra axle. I was not overly impressed as fit and finish about the same as anyone. I think enough said.

Aw c'mon Jim. Working in an oilfield I know you have thicker skin than this

Are you really basing your buying decision on who has the best forum?

If so, you would stick with Montana.

I hope you realize I am just having fun with you.

Yea. But you will know its back there. My ram is 30000 lbs towing with 6500Lbs payload and the pin on that unit was almost 4000Lb. Loaded with all his stuff and scaled at 24000 LBS, Really enough said here.

LOL. I must have had a cupcake millinial moment

My choices are generally based on what is ideal for US and then drive down the price. From what I am seeing on the NH looks like you can get almost exactly what you want IF your pockets are deep enough. I make good money but not sure deep enough to match my thoughts of what would be the ideal 5er.....

Like with most things in life. Getting exactly what you want sometimes costs more than you have. Life is full of compromises

James … I fully get your idea of asking a SOB question amongst a good number of members, but perhaps asking to PM you with those answers would have been better. I'm envisioning sitting at a Chevy dealer with a Ford truck brochure in hand asking for clarification by the service manager.

Only folks that would have an issue with that is the Chevy dealer certainly not the owners

I guess my point is this forum is run by owners NOT Keystone. It should be about owners helping owners. Even if that means suggesting a current Keystone owner might find something more to their liking in an SOB product line. None of us owe any loyalty to Keystone. I am always looking at the entire marketplace. If something better comes up I’m interested reguardless of brand

I trust the folks here and that is why I asked here

I am sorry, but I for one jointed this forum because it is about Keystone Montana and associated RVs, Mountaineers, HC.

If I want to know about SOBs I will go on their forums.

Talking about SOB is a slippery slope, next thing we know we will be hearing about problems and fixes related to others brands.

This forum has been successful because it addresses a specific brand.

Just saying is all.
