Just joining the forum today

Hello Everyone,

Just joining the forum today. My wife and I are soon to be full time 5th wheelers.

We own a 2018 Montana High Country 381th. Hoping to find information on modifications that people have made to make it more like home..

Welcome to the group. Click on FORUM at the top of this page and scan all the different topic specific forums. The ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS forum might be a good place to look around.

Welcome to the Forum and the greatest place to learn about your unit from the experts-- actual Montana owners. The modifications made by many of us very from top to bottom. Hopefully, there will be posts on here about what we have made. A better way to learn about these modifications is to join us at some of the Regional Rallies and also the National Rallies. Check here on the Forum for information on how to sign up for and attend the Regional Rallies and both the Spring and Fall National Rallies. Again welcome aboard and hope we can meet somewhere along the hi-ways and bi-ways of our great Nation and think strongly about joining us at the Rallies.

Hello.

Welcome to the group. This place is full of many many ideas. My DW and I have been full timing for 5 years and love it.

1st. question. Are you full timing in one spot or do you move around, I ask because the tires are the most important part to full timing and staying in one spot for a long time kills tires so you have to setup your rig differently for that scenario.

2nd. do you have the Thetford aqua magic 2 toilet if so that toilet is not full timer ready and will wear out and flood your camper.

Like its was posted earlier open your wallet and we will empty it.

Just kidding, you need to spend a little money because full timing is a different setup on your unit than just camping.

Good luck and any questions please share. and there are no dumb questions.

Welcome to the forum and I want to re-iterate what Rondo said. We went to the National rally about a year after we got our rig (which we could have gone the first year) and it helped learn a lot about the rigs, get some good supplier contacts, and meet and learn from lots of great people from the forum in person.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow 2018 HC 381TH owner right next door in Arkansas.

Several 380/381TH owners on here and there is a thread dedicated to those models floating around somewhere on the forum. Although most of the issues/improvements on other models apply.

There are several options (some for safety/ride) that have been discussed on here. You will find some that everyone agree on (like disc brake upgrade) and others where there is quite a debate (like moyride step upgrade). Great thing about the forum is there is plenty of folks with first hand experience.

Best wishes!
