Purchased New 2012 3750 today!

Good evening from California. Very excited about our new acquisition ! We leave on the 6th of April from Redding Ca. to pick up our first fifth wheel in Texas. Then off to New York and places East. We just sold our beloved Komfort TT. We owned her one year, nearly to the day. Very excited that we are upgrading! Love the floor plan and look forward o meeting other MO's! We are really old people, so be patient with us. Me 52 DW 49!

Old people? To be so old. You have plenty of years to enjoy your before you are old. Go for it and don't look back. You said places east? Come to the Mid Atlantic Rally at Myrtle Beach in August (16 -21). At least stop in NC and say hello. Larry

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the purchase of a fine rig. There is something about that model that I really like? Start preparing now for your PDI by looking through previous forum posts. The search feature at the top of each page can help you there. Pay particular attention to posts about Marathon tires (Hint, hint!!). Don't be shy about posting questions, experiences, and hopefully good reports when you hit the road.

Hope you love your new rig and it gives you many years of happy memories! X2 on the PDI. Don't let them rush you and look things over closely. We found a cracked landing gear leg when we were going over ours.

X4 on the PDI...DO NOT LET THEM RUSH YOU. Also MAKE them turn on or make everything work. Do not accept an explanation that this is how you turn on something, make them actually turn it on and make it work. Everything from TV's to the sewer flush. That will accomplish 2 things, one it makes sure it all works, and number 2 it is easier for you understand HOW it works if you do it or see it done. Even if you know how it works make it work. When I just bought my Montana they tried the "there's the TV antenna and there's the porch light". Well when I made them try to run up the antenna it did not work and the neither did the porch light. Here is a list to follow and help so you don't forget anything---- http://www.rvlifestyle.net/id20.html --. A PDI can take the best part of a day so don't let them start at 3pm in the afternoon. Remember you just gave them a pile of money, so they should cater to you and a good dealership will.

Great advice on that PDI!!! Since during a PDI there is so much to remember, there's an excellent chance that you'll forget something when you are out there and need it the most. Make sure you know where all the manuals are.

I hope you have way more truck than you need. The TT's are generally much lighter than the fiver and if you bought the trailer based on the dealer's emphasis on the shipping weight, you could get yourself in trouble. That's a lot of driving on your maiden trip and you wouldn't want a serious mishap because of being overweight. There's a lot more that creates rating than just the engine and tranny.

Old? My gosh, you don't even satisfy the requirements for the old person discounts at any restaurants. But, a few miles and months in that RV will get you there just fine. Enjoy!!!

Thanks one and all! I just read and downloaded PDI documents. My trusty IPAD and I will be ready. Wish I had this advice on my first RV purchase. The unit was trouble free but we were lucky. I can honestly tell you the PDI was less than 25 minutes. Since reading your posts I have changed my plans. I will leave two days earlier. Found Park less than hour away from dealer. Plan to hang around as long as necessary. Again thanks to all of you. I feel welcome and now prepared!

Congratulations!! If you are going to be East in June, would you consider the Northeast Rally in Lancaster, PA? Great place to meet MOCers.

Congrats Artemus, we are rookies here as well. We loved the 3750 as well but could not resist the deal we got on the 3580RL....

Good luck and many happy travels!!!
