New Tires

I want to thank all of you who have posted about Marathon tires on this forum. You finally scared me enough to have new Goodyear G614's installed on our 2009 3400RL. They put them on the morning before we left from Ohio to Florida.

The installer showed me one of the removed tires with a broken belt. He said the tire was egg-shaped when it came off and would never have made it to Florida without blowing. For once I had good timing and avoided a problem.

I also followed advice and purchased a TST tire pressure monitoring system. Except for an unexpected tour of downtown Louisville, because I failed to trust my GPS, it was a very uneventfull 3-day trip.

This forum is very helpful to me. It's much easier to learn from others experiences. Thanks again. Keep up the good work.

Dave
