Surge Guard

It's time to install the inline surge guard I bought a few months ago...ok ok it's been seven months. You don't want to rush into these things you know. Any way I know to disconnect the power, Can I just turn the battery switch off? or do I need to disconnect them? Any other advice I need to be aware of before I tackle this project??? Besides reading the instructions? Thanks

You are working on the 120v system. Unplug the Montana. Decide where you are placing the unit. Check to see if it will require a small piece of 6ga wire and if so purchase the wire in preparation for the install. Make sure to tighten all of the connections before putting everything back in place.

bw2 I did not see any where, where it asked for or required a 6ga wire Did I miss something in the instructions?

Who all has one installed?[s] and do you have a picture of it?[/s] Never mind I found a previous post with pictures.

But now Im thinking I need to get a transfer switch before I proceed?????
