Galley tank on my 2001 2955RL

The galley tank is not draining completely. When I rase the front of my trailer, or go around a corner with the valve open, water really comes out the drain. Any help would be appreciated.

Could be some blockage in there or the tank be sagging. You could take the underbelly partway down and take a peek

Drain the tank, then close the valve. There will always be some fluid left in the tank.

I am with Ozz. Don't know exactly how the drain comes out of the tank. But unless the tank is always sitting with the drain at the lowest point, there will always be a little water left in it. That would mean the tank had to be installed with the drain slightly low and you would have to be parked level or slightly low on the drain side. It would not have to be off much to leave a gallon or more in the tank after draining. And that would look like a lot coming out going around a corner.
And that cap is supposed to be on when traveling!

Also some always remains in the 1.5 inch drain line as it sags between hangers. Go down a hill and it all heads for the discharge pipe. Jim

The drain is on the street side so if you park it with a door side lean you will always have some left in the tank. I purchased an auxiliary valve which I put on the end where the cap goes. After draing tanks I close that valve and put the cap on. When I remove the cap there is no drainage until I open the valve no matter if I left a tank valve open or not. Since my galley tank valve handle is broken and the valve is always open this saves me much embarasement plus I don't have to worry abut leaving a trail of whatever when leaving a site.
