Electric power to slide out (110V vs 12V)

On my 2003 Mountaineer 315RLS Travel Trailer, all the electric to the slide out is 110 volts. As we do a lot of dry camping, it's pretty dark in the slideout. There is a electic box on the frame at the rear for the slide. The electric wires leave this box in a gray covered conduit. On this 110 curcuit, slideout lights, radio/stero system and one outlet near the floor in the bedroom near the door.
Does any one have any idea how these electric wires are routed? I would like to convert my slide out to 12V. One thought is to disconnect the wires in the electric box on the frame that powers the slide out lights. Connect some 12 volt wire, run along the frame, across through the belly and connect to the spare 12 circit I have.

Thanks for you help.

Our lights are a mix between 12 and 110. I am sure an electrician among the members can help.

Shehi, Are you only talking about the lighting in your slide out area or the slide drive as well?

What you want to do sound do able the old 110 volt wire will carry 12 volt easy. Just have to find 12 volt lights you like and exchange them for the 110 volt lights. The wire can be run above the belly plastic to the 12 volt fuse box. Gang that wire with a lightly used 12 circuit and you'll be ready to dry camp with lights. Also you'll need to do away with the old 110 volt wire, disconnect it's power that goes to the box. Remember do all this with battery and 110 to trailer unhooked!

I'm only talking about the lights in the slide out. The motor drive is 12V. What looks like the simplest wireing is to tap into the junction box that is attached to the frame near the back end of the slide. This only handles the lights. Run a 12V wire back throught the belly and come up through the floor into the wiring distribution panel. I have a 12 circuit that is not being used, I use it.

Thanks

12V lights in my Mountaineer pushout almost completed. I used the junction box that is on the frame located at the rear of the slideout. I disconnected the 110 wires (3) in the jucnction box and placed wire nuts on them. I ran one wire from my extra 12 fuse in my distribution panel down through the floor along some pipes to the jucntion box. I connected this wire to the black wire going to the slide out. I picked up a ground off the trailer frame and connected it to the white wire gong to the slideout. Replaced three bulbs with 12V 15 watt floursenct (rated for 60 watts of light). I now have plenty of 12V light in my slideout. All I hae to do now is put the trailer back together.
Thanks for all your help.
