Fresh water connection problem

Again, here I am with another problem. Went to Bodega Bay this weekend for a much needed heat relieve trip. Hooked up to the city water and found out water was not going into the trailer. I understand it has something to do with the anti-siphon valve. Would anyone know what caused this and how to fix it.

just a thought I have a fillvalve for filling my water tank from the city water hook up do you and if so was it in the fill position instead of city water?

Hi lmurphy. Haven't seen much of you and Lydia on the forum for awhile.

I don't remember whether you have one of the new Montanas with the connection center and the switch Tim mentioned or one of the older Montanas. If an older one, the anti-siphon valve is at the connection, just under the screen. It has a white pin. If the o-ring in the valve gets out of place it can keep the valve from functioning correctly. When the o-ring in ours got out of place it was because I didn't push the pin when winterizing to release the water under pressure. The water froze, forcing the o-ring out of place. I managed to work the o-ring back into place although it wasn't much fun.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

Thanks for the input you guys. We've been busy remodeling our kitchen, the financial shock and the extreme heat was one of the reasons we felt like getting away for a few days. But, I'm telling you, it seems like everything was going wrong with the Montana, ours is a 2002, model 2955RL. The batteries were dead, the hydraulic fluid was leaking, the anti siphon valve didn't work and then later, Tim decided to take a shower and found the connections to the shower hose were split and had broken away. I suppose the extreme heat did most of the damage(we had triple digit temperatures for 12 days straight). We have a lot of repairs now that we're home.

Sorry, Lydia! I assumed Larry wrote that post. Obviously I was wrong. Sorry.
