Where to mount PI EMS surge protector hardwiring in Montana 3811

We just bought a Montana 3811 and wanted to install a surge protector. Can anyone tell us specifically where to locate it? We have a generator prep. On the unit, and a command center. Do we put it up in the front compartment, or in the basement by the fuse box or inside behind the command center? We have seen all three advised. HELP , we need to tell the installers tomorrow!

Try pulling out the fuse panel. there should be plenty of room and extra wire to place it in there.
