She is getting closer!

Decided for the grins-n-giggles, to go up to Tiara and check out a couple things on the new Mountaineer. Wanted to study the battery compartment to see what I might have to do to make room for the two batteries I have. When I got there, saw some surprises I didn't expect. Part of our deal include slide toppers on all three slide rooms, 4 step entry steps instead of 3 and, the TrailAir Tri-glide pin box. They were ALL installed!! Everything!

I'm so happy, I could piddle all over the place like an excited little puppy!!

Stuff like that just makes you warm and fuzzy. When do you pick it up? Getting ready to take ours a little further south for a couple of months. The Monty is calling our name. Enjoy that lovely new home.

Carole, we don't take delivery until the middle of March. Then, it will go with us to Santa Rosa RV Resort in Navarre, FL for 2 weeks for our 40th wedding anniversary. Should be a good shake down.

That sounds good. We go to Gulf Shores to the Gulf State Park for January and February but come home to Tuscalosa, AL in March. Hope you have a great time and enjoy that new home.

Thank you, folks! I think we will.

Carole, Tuscaloosa? What a nice town!!! In fact, every time Gail and I come into Alabama, a remark is made about what a pretty state it is! We hear a lot about Gulf Shores, too. We will have to look into that area.

MIMF, Gulf Shores isn't very far from Navarre and is worth the drive. Have you been to Ft. Pickens? Not a great campground but a beautiful area with the gulf on one side and the intercoastal water on the other. It 's like having your own private beach and great bike riding. We like to stay there when the Blue Angels are flying. You can sit on the beach and actually see the pilots in the planes when they fly over. We love the entire area from Gulf Shores to Destin, most beautiful beaches in the world. We also like living in Tuscaloosa and enjoy the college town as it's not too large and not too small. Lots of restaurants. March is beautiful and warm down here so enjoy your visit.

We are really enjoying our 331. The layout is perfect for us. We are in Az for 5 months and this is our shakedown trip. Making a list and checking it twice and will have the dealer fix anything we find when we get back home in the spring. So far only minor things. Enjoy.

I've always found Tiara to be great to deal with. Hope it gives you many years of wonderful memories.

Gail and I have been in Destin about 4 times in the last 2 or 3 years. We love and enjoy the area. In every case, it was going down with her sister and brother-in-law to their house on Miramar Beach over on the east side of Destin. We found Santa Rosa Sound RV Resort about a year ago when the 4 of us piled into the car and drove over to Navarre because, they wanted to show us the area. Every where you go down along those beaches, seems to be a new adventure. In the back of my mind, I have made a vow that we are going down to that area at least once a year for as long as we are able. It is therapeutic to me!!

When we are there in late March, we will have to take time to do some sight seeing more in a westerly direction. Who knows what we will find? Looking very forward to doing this trip!

We bought ours from Tiara. The PDI was a joke. They never connected the 5th to water. The toilet would not hold water, the dealer installed Splendeide had the drain hose stuck so far down the drain pipe it would not hold water. The entry door would not close properly, they wanted to replace the door, when it only needed the rain gutter installed properly.

Tiara installed a Mor/Ryde X Factor system. It required replacing 4 wet bolts. None would accept grease when we got home. Obviously they just bolted it on and never tried to grease the new bolts.

I wish you luck with your purchase from what has to be the worst service department I have ever encountered.

Dale, we wish you many happy travels in your new Mountaineer. And, congratulations on 40 years. I know you are excited and I am confident it will be all you hoped. We are looking at our third Montana and Tiara will be one of the dealers we talk to. They have been a big supporter of the MOC.

Ron, over the last 10 years, we have bought 4 units from Tiara. 3 of them for Gail and I and we own a 2 year old SOB. That unit is a hybrid from another well know manufacturer, who has been in business for 41 years. In fact, it was on sale as a 40 year special.

Anyway, if you haven't talked to anyone there yet, I recommend you contact Jim. I think he'll do good for you.

Ron, was in the Web site. Looks like it will be a really neat floor plan. In fact, looks like there a bunch of real neat floor plans coming along! For your sake, I hope they don't take too long!
