I have the insertion of pictures at the bottom of a signature figured out. But, I can't figure out how to put one on the left hand side. I guess its an avatar? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.

The avitar is a "by invitation" thing. You will get a PM with all of the details at some point in time. I think it is done this way so they can convert your picture into the avitar sized pic and not be swamped by having to do too many at a time, this is just a guess on my part.

They also have some rules about what can and can't be used for an avitar (no cartoons or animated .gif files except for admin and moderators, etc.), this way they can control what avitars you can have.
