The LED strips arrived today
and of course I had to play with them by plugging them up in the house. Super cool! Now if winter would ever end, I might be able to shorten the now loooooonnnngggggg list of planned mods!!

Just like our friend Jim Fischer to start something. "Git-er-done". I'm sure he will inspect your work, the first chance he gets.

Bingo,
You'll love the lights. If you run the power cord down the awning track and run the wire in next to the awning power cord, you will be behind your switch panel. When I wired a 3750, I tied the lights to the hot side of the porch light switch.

Will investigate that approach Jim, thanks. Already told DW that if these work out, we may have to consider using them for undercounter lighting as well. Dang it, another thing to possible add to the list.

Have mine, too. Collecting dust as more cold fronts coming. Still waiting for photos of a porch light install since my layout is perfect for that installation.

About six months ago I replaced our porch light with a motion sensitive LED. It is great...and I even did it right and did not burn the trailer down.

I put a set of led strip lights on our awning late last summer. cleaned the tube with alcohol,(cleaning not drinking):-) tape stuck good. so now I just have to remove converter when leaving,so far,so good. will be curious to see what the winter will do being rolled up so long. They look nice at night with the multi colors.

I think I'll just drag the camper down near NCFischers and get him to help. I'm scared to drill holes in the new Monty. I've seen these light on a number of rigs and I really like them. Plus how could a guy not like something with a remote.

Just as an FYI, I replaced the IR controller with an RF controller because it isn't as sensitive and doesn't need to be pointed right at the electronic eye. Cost about $5 through Ebay (or Amazon...can't remember).

fyi you might want to change the tape to 3M auto tape the original tape won't hold for long even if you clean it with all the alcohol in the world before putting it on had to do that to mine
