Steves,
When I click on the link you listed I just go to the main MOC page. What should I be seeing? I haven't checked to see if he is an actual member of the MOC. Guess we should have the Admins look into that.
I did get an email from the same guy you did. But it was caught in my "junk" file. But it is doubtful that this was done by a non MOC member.

When I click on the MOC link I also go the the MOC Home Page, When clicking on the email I get a message that the email is not properly installed...
EDIT: Members we are aware of this problem and will take care of it very soon However only Admin can Delete/lockout new memberships.

DO NOT click on any links in email from persons not personally known to you!!! This is how trojans, viruses, malware and worms are installed on your computer. If you're lucky, all that will happen is your entire email contacts will get spammed. Can be much worse .. keep your internet security software up to date. This guy appears to be just a spammer but the link may be spoofed and designed to look like the MOC site. Bad people out there ...

The number one key point that this is not legitimate is the email address ending in @yahoo.fr.
I don't know about you but I personally don't know anyone from France. So this is not really a good spoofing job - but it still is dangerous.
This type of Scam started over 25 years ago and was called the Nigerian 419 scam. For that length of time it was the 3rd per capita income of the country. The US Secret Service was the investigating authority for over 25 years. Now it is the Federal Trade Commission that does the footwork.
I hope that the Admins/Owner report this in accordance with the FTC guidelines.
