We've got four Killer Cats with us, but the problem, you would have to wake them up first (LOL)

Just like the old saying, I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

We do carry a weapon, but leaving is always preferred to using, as it's the very LAST resort of defense!

Will, I'm on your side.
We boondock, and knowing is better than being scared; wouldn't give it up for anyone or their law.

As traveling fulltimers, we've figured out that the best places to be are in state or federal parks. We normally get there several days before the holiday, pick a spot as far away from others as possible, and stay clear of the revelers. In just a few days they're gone, and we have the peace and quiet back again.

Waking the cats isn't the real problem It's spreading the tuna juice on the intruder that takes some skill

I am armed to the teeth on all trips. With that said I hope I never have to use any of my guns. Prefer to shoot paper targets for sport only. The only time to pull a gun is if you are absolutely going to be forced to use it to defend your family. People who pull guns to look/act tough are playing a very dangerous game.

Florida's "Stand your ground" law makes the decision to have fire arms in your Florida home a bit easier, but up and down America's highways we have many state laws to contend with...know all about the "best defense is a good offense," but I fear ending up in a lose-lose situation if I were to "pack" heat on the open road. For those who do, hope you never have to use them...for those of us who don't, hope we never need them. I also know that this final thought depends an awful lot on good luck...which I usually seem short of!

Packing heat changes the odds and the luck; and I'm with you, hope it is never needed, but an ounce of prevention is worth the hassles of the differing laws.
