Another unofficial mini-rally....

The very best part of being a member of this forum is meeting other members who become dear friends. Then you have an excuse to travel around and visit them. We spent an enjoyable evening with Bob and Myrna, our co-wagonmasters for the past fall rally. The area around Bastrop, Texas is beautiful and fascinating and a good time was had by all. Sorry, no pictures.

Yes, Helen, I passed on your hug!

Those mini rallys are fun, aren't they? Good to meet with those, who we share things with.

Thanks Judy. We are hoping they are still in Bastrop when we go through there in March. We haven't seen that area at all. We're looking forward to that and Austin. Course we love San Antonio too so we will be sure to take our time. Enjoy the wild wild west.

There is so much to see in this area. San Marcos has two huge outlet malls (ugh, we drove right past them), San Antonio has a great zoo, Sea World, rodeo, yadda, yadda, yadda. You'll probably be coming in from the east, Helen, on 71 which is a lovely tree lined highway. Bastrop is really growning. I guess since Bob and Myrna moved there, everybody wants to live there!

Yes, we had a great time and wish we had more time to do the sight seeing. We didn't even scratch the surface!!!! Helen, we are planning to leave March 15th to head to the NW via Calif. Will you be here before then? Looking forward to another mini rally next week with Charlie...

Well, we added to our mini-rallies this morning when we met Refocused (Chuck and Suzanne) for breakfast. Just like when we've met so many others from the forum, we were great friends within about five minutes. So much fun!
