AC VENTS

I found some adjustable round AC vents that I would like to replace the fixed factory vents in my Mountaineer with. Has anyone removed the factory vents, if so how did they come off ??

I haven't replaced them but have had them off, mine just pop right off by sticking a screwdriver or butterknife under the edge and twisting slightly. Just out or curiousity where did you find the adjustable vents as I have thought about putting one in the bunkroom because it tends to be the coldest place in the camper.

Don,

Thanks for the reply. We have a new 319BHS and YEP the Bunk House runs HOT or COLD so I was actually on the hunt for some adjustable floor registers, and I found the AC VENTS. If you have a dealer that carries COLORADO 5th ers they were on this brand. I wanted to remove mine on the 319 to measure the diameter of the AV Duct, they look to be the same……but I want to make sure before I bought any

I know that Bruce has the adjustable vents on his 319…Not sure where he found them. Hopefully he will read this post and chime in….

We were out last weekend and this very thought came to mind. I would also like to be able to adjust the air flow in our unit.
If you guys have the answer, I have another mod to do...

Not sure about other Montanas...but our BHD has some very noticable areas that are either getting TOO MUCH HEAT / AC or not enough.

A standard floor vent worked in the bunkroom on our 318BHS, I replaced all the floor vents with the closing type from Lowes. I just was not able to find AC vents that fit.

i had the goofy a/c vents in mine. the only way to get any air was to pull the center completly out. went by an rv store that had some adj. vents and found them to be the same size. 5 bucks apeice and a cordless drill had all 6 changed in about 2 minutes. cant beleive the difference it makes. dave.

This is what I put in my bunkroom a/c vent. http://dwincorp.com/product_info.php...roducts_id=285 I purchased it at La Mesa RV here in AZ. I'm sure other RV places carry them, or you could get them from that website. They work really good. I like the fact that you can rotate them and control the air flow. By the way Rodney...it think Honey Roasted are my favorite!!... Thanks again!!
