12v lighting in slide failure.

12v lighting in slide does not work? Lights over reclining chairs were fading when switched on then failed. The light over the dinette also does not work. Checked connections at lights. No blown fuses? Both light have different wire colours (one white/orange stripe the other black/white stripe) is there a junction box where these two wires share a common feed from fuse box? Any ideas where to look next.

Under the slide either on the slide itself or on the main frame, there should be a electrical box with a cover on it ... the wires will be in a loom that extends out with the slide. Look there.

Did you check the fuses by pulling and looking at them, using a voltmeter to check for voltage, or look at the LEDs to see if one was on? Keep in mind that you would have to have the light switch turned on for the LED to illuminate for a blown fuse. There must be a completed circuit thru a load for the blown fuse indicator to illuminate.

But as noted above, check that junction box for good connections.

X2 That would be my start point.

Problem found on main frame behind the flashing. Wires just crimped with no protection. One wire corroded. Repaired and lights back on.
Thanks again for the hints on where to look.

Thanks for reporting the solution. So many times suggestions are made and the OP never returns to say whether he/she solved the problem or not. So we never know.
