We visited a Sleep Number store today and then a regular mattress store. Gonna go with a Sleep Number. So a couple of questions for you folks that have a SN in your Montana.
Plugging the SN bed in: We have an outlet on the wall close to the head of the bed. I'm wondering about positioning of the SN bed pump. Remember I don't have it in front of me, so I'm just speculating.
It says to position the pump at the head of the bed. Okay, we'll be putting it on the bed platform. Do we need to drill a hole in the platform board for the pump to be underneath and then drill another hole in the side of the platform so the cord can come out the side to the outlet?
The outlet is on the interior wall, so I'd just have to remember to unplug it when we bring in the bedroom slide.
If unplugged, does it still retain its inflation?
I know some folks have put an outlet under the bed. That's not within our capabilities, as our electrical expertise doesn't extend that far.
Does it draw voltage (i.e., "run") all the time or just when you are adjusting the comfort level? We have been known to lose power here with storms, etc.; however, we do have a generator. Just don't want any surprises.
Sorry if these are silly questions. It's an investment and we hope to choose wisely. Main thing is hoping it will help DH get a better night's sleep.
Thanks!
Betty
