Just finished installing the Penguin Unit purchased at Campingworld. I did not see any way to tie one into duct work on our 3400 (2007).
The install went pretty easy. As others have pointed out the hardest part was getting the unit onto the roof of the 5er.

I am not sure when Keystone started including the duct work for the bedroom units. Ours, a 2010 built in early 09, had the duct work on the right and left side of the vent in the bedroom. Each of the ducts were sealed with aluminum duct tape and then covered with a piece of plywood.

Monday, me and the son in law installed the Dometic Brisk Aire 15,000 BTU in the bedroom. I elected not to tie into the duct, but just dump into the bedroom. 2.5 hours start to finish with a good part spent getting the old vent and associated caulk off the roof. The two of us standing in the bed of the truck easily set the unit on the top of the slide then went to the roof to complete the lift. Directions were good making this a pretty easy job. $890 for the roof unit and inside ceiling control unit from Tweetys. My new height is 12' 11 3/4"'s hooked up to the truck. Jim

Great price and good job. You should be able to hang meat in the bedroom with a 15000 BTU dumping cooled air directly in there .

Ours is a Coleman Polar Mach, 13.5k. It's supposedly a low profile model but it's not as low as the Penguin. It is lower than the standard Dometic unit for the living room, though. From my measurements the rear a/c is still the highest point of the rig.
