Extra Awnings

I would like to find a way to fashion some sort of awning over the recliner slide in my 3665RE. I am currently using it as an office, so I spend the majority of my time in there. Of course, out of every way the RV could be positioned where it's at, that is the very slide that directly faces the sun for the majority of the day, too, lol.

I am stationary, so I was thinking perhaps I could buy a large tarp and if I can find a way to attach the tarp to the roof without damaging the RV, I can do so on the roof above the slide and then use ground mounts and ropes to stretch it out from there towards the ground, which would effectively shade the entire slide while still allowing a view.

How can I attach the tarp securely to the roof? Ideas? Has anyone done anything like this?

A slide out cover and window awning would solve your problem. Kerry

Would that shade the whole slide, or just the top and the window?

It will shade whatever you want depending on it's length. We had two put on over our windows and they work great. If you want to add shade to the side of the slider just put one on the length of the slider.
