Cleaning and wax 2001 aluminum siding Big Sky
We recently purchased a 2001 Big Sky that is in excellent condition but it does not have fiberglass sides it has aluminum siding and I don't know if it is powder coated or painted but I was wondering what the best wax cleaner that I could use to bring the old girl back to looking good

Have never seen a Montana fifth wheel any year with anything but fiberglass.

We have a 2014 and the bottom skirt is aluminum. We were having trouble with black streaks under the "rubber" strip between the fiberglass and the aluminum but found a wonderful product for cleaning it. It's called LA's Awesome All-Purpose Cleaner and can be found at some dollar stores, Walmart and Amazon. It works wonders. We even squirt it on a soft rag to remove stubborn black streaks that we could not remove using any other cleaner we've tried. It's also great for cleaning "grungy" caulk. NOTE: This product is pretty strong so be sure to work in a very small area (if you're using it on fiberglass) and squirt off any remaining liquid. We only use this when we're going to polish our RV afterward.

You wouldn't wish they were still aluminum if you lived in tornado alley between the Mississippi and the Rockies. Big hail is common out here and makes an aluminum sided RV look like it was hit with monster bird shot or maybe even worse. As to the original topic ... I too agree that the skirting is aluminum and the actual sides are fiberglass or as some define it as "filon". Unless ... someone went to the expense of siding it with aluminum panels.
