Splendide slow drying

Hello Group,

I have a Splendide 2100XC. It has been getting slower and slower when drying. Last year I pulled it out and cleaned the vent hose and back area best I could.

This year it is even slower. I ran across this procedure and tried it. They say to do it 3 times. I am in the middle of trying it for the first cycle. You can not believe the stuff in the water.

The below is a copy and paste from a different RV forum...........

The F13 code is very common and often can be fixed by performing a simple procedure (which was taught to me and others by the guys at Splendide). Here's what you need to do:

1. Start the unit without clothes and with the dry time off on cycle # 11. When the water stops entering the unit push and hold the start button until all the lights come on then release the button. NOTE: If the water is not at least half way up the glass repeat this step (I find it always has to be repeated at least once).

2. Move the cycle knob to cycle # 2 push the extra rinse button then press the start button once (do not hold) then let it run through that complete cycle.

Do this 3 times then try the dryer.

I now do this as preventative maintenance every month or two.

We'll see, but the lint and soap in the water from the first cycle is just hard to imagine.

I do this every once in a while and yes, there is a lot of lint in the water. Be sure to wipe the drum off between each time.

We have the 7100 and perform this procedure often. It makes the unit perform as new.
