New way to contact Winegard.
Since I never got a manual with my traveler I thought I better call and find out how to lower the unit manually should the need arise. I called and then realized I was calling after a long holiday weekend. Before putting me on hold, which from past experience I know usually results in voice mail and a call back the next day, I was offered a text option to "help@winegard.com. I texted what I wanted and got: RE:
Unplug Trav'ler interface.
Remove black plastic bolt from the back of the mount.
Insert 11/32 socket extension into auxiliary drive. Turn clockwise to lower unit. Be sure not to use a drill.
Winegard Technical Service
I sent my request at 10:15am and got the reply at 7:38pm. I would imagine their problem is nobody calls from November to March and now everyone calls. Since I found another way to contact them that works I thought I'd share it.
