Propane hose replacement

I am in the process of replacing the propne hoses from the regulators to the tanks and ran across a thread size problem. The thread on the new hoses is 1/4 inch compression and the regulator is 3/8 inch pipe. It seems like my only solution is replacing the regulators. Any suggestions?

Pretty certain you can find brass adapters in about any decent hardware store. Be sure to use thread tape as well.

Walt, I have to disagree with you on the thread tape! I was told by my propane distributor not to use the tape. He said it is to easy for the tape to get into the line and cause some real problems. JMPE

Also, if you do use tape, there is a 'special' tape for gas vs water, etc. I'm not sure, but think it is yellow??? Or a yellow container.
